Medical Care vs Alternative Care; What's the Difference?

Updated: May 26, 2023

Stenzel Chiropractic Clinic recognizes that everyone has a different idea of what healthcare looks like. As healthcare providers, we are huge advocates of medical choice. Some of our clients prefer traditional medical care, while some prefer research based alternative care. Our goal is to offer services which meet your needs, comforts and goals in a safe, hybrid, researched based plan that is right for you.

Definitions:

Medical Care: Any intervention that is accepted in the Medical Healthcare Setting, which may include medicinal use for treatment.

Integrative Care: a non-mainstream practice is used together with conventional medicine, is considered “Integrative".

Alternative Care: a non-mainstream practice is used in place of conventional medicine, is considered “alternative.

To give you an idea of Medical vs Integrative vs Alternative Care, we will refer to our Blood Report as an example of how we can safely apply concepts to meet your goals:

With our blood report example, this gives us a lot of information where to start your journey to health. With our blood reports, we are able to:

  1. Measure, analyze and better understand your health.

  2. Establish individualized goals.

  3. Personalize your plan with our services that we offer.

  4. Carry out plans and monitor your progress.

  5. Help you feel better.

With this system, you will get to choose how you want to approach your journey to health. For example:

- If you choose to take a Medical Care approach to better regulate your laboratory shortfalls, you will continue with traditional medicinal management.

- If you choose to take an Integrative Care approach with Medical and Chiropractic care, we can set up a plan for you. One example is, we can tackle your symptoms with Medicinal management, and Neurological Optimization through Chiropractic Manipulation and Supplementation - Creating a better environment for healing.

- If you choose to use Alternative Care, our blood reports give you recommendations to our research-based supplements that we recommend to treat your laboratory shortfalls.

Of course we will help you make informed decisions for your journey. We want to make sure you are confident with your health!
